Calling, SMS, WhatsApp & Social Policy
Version: 2026-10-06
Purpose and consent
When you submit a counselling enquiry with consent, you authorise College Admission to contact you about that request by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email. This consent is separate from unrelated marketing permission and does not override telecom preferences or platform requirements.
Calls, SMS and RCS
Commercial calling and messaging must use applicable registered sender, consent, preference and template processes where required. A website checkbox alone does not replace telecom or DLT requirements. Sender setup and campaign compliance must be maintained by the operator.
WhatsApp and social platforms
Business-initiated WhatsApp messages must follow applicable opt-in and messaging rules, including approved templates where required. Following a social page is not permission to add someone to private groups or unrelated campaigns. Social comments and messages are governed by the platform’s own policies.
Stop or change contact
Tell the counsellor to stop, send STOP on WhatsApp, use any unsubscribe option provided, or submit a privacy request. Staff review and verify requests as needed and update the CRM contact consent. The portal blocks CRM message delivery when that consent is withdrawn. Previously sent messages cannot be recalled.
Public information and safety
Avoid posting phone numbers, identity documents, passwords or payment details in public comments. We do not request passwords or OTPs for counselling. Verify unexpected payment or admission claims using our published contact details.
